April Showers Brign May Flowers

All these dresses are made from flower petals. I actually made the party dress first and then the wedding-ish one second. The dresses are about 4 inches high.

This is the back of the dress. As you can see it has a bit of a train. I was trying to make a dress like the wedding one but it didn't turn out right.

This is the front of the dress. I tried to make it look like ruffles but it did not come out like what I had pictured in my mind.

This is a party dress! I am very pleased with how it turned out eps. considering how I accidentally stepped on it... :D

Miscellaneous Crafts

As you can see I tried my hand at shoe making (emphasis on TRY!) . I was trying to make some shoes to match my dress that I wore on March 16. They didn't turn out that well....but, with some work I might be able to make a decent pair someday! :)

As Mom and I were walking the other day we passed a bunch of really nice pine cones. I thought it was a shame for such nice pine cones to go too waist. So as my brothers and I went on a walk to day I picked some up. This is what I made from them.

March 16!!

I wanted to dress up in two different outfits for St. Paddy's Day so I am wearing this dress today. It is a medieval style dress right now but, when I get the over-skirt that matches the gauzy material on the sleeves it turns into a fantasy elvish dress. I had to stay up a bit late on a few nights to finish it on time. The gold belt I have on is not the actual belt....that I did not have time to do as I will be hand sewing the same design on it as I did on the sleeves.

I braided my hair and my Mom weaved (sewed) the ribbon in my hair for me.

Medieval Dresses

These are my 2 medieval dresses. The blue one is my first and the green one is not yet COMPLETELY done but is so close!

The blue is a bit brighter than this. I could not get it just right. :(

It has long outer sleeves (verrry hard to eat if they are not pulled back)
The gold is not really this bright. :D

It laces up the back. It took a while but I did get all the little eyelets in.

I hand sewed the gold trim on. As you can see it is not done near as well as my Mother does it but I gave it a try! :D
The dress is more of this shade of green and not the sour apple shade as it shows above. :)
